Peter Gall Krogh

Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark.

Peter Gall Krogh is trained as an architect and product designer. Emblematic to the cross-disciplinary character of his work he has held design professorships in institutions based in art, technology and humanities. He contributes to research in service and interaction design based on co-design techniques and has made significant contributions to the unpacking of practices and theoretical foundations of Constructive Design Research describing what design looks like and how it can be approached when developing knowledge is as equally important as providing opportunities by design.


Eli Blevis

Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University, Bloomington.

Eli Blevis is a Professor of Informatics in Human-Computer Interaction Design (HCI/d) whose primary area of research, and the one for which he is best known, is sustainable interaction design. His research also engages visual thinking - especially photographic foundations of HCI, and design theory - especially transdisciplinary design.


Miguel Bruns

Department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands

Miguel Bruns, PhD in Industrial Design Engineering from TU Delft, is Associate Professor, interdisciplinary design for interactive materiality. He researches the aesthetics and expressivity of interactive systems with programmable material qualities through design, leading the Material Aesthetics Lab. He was bachelor and graduate program director of Industrial Design and co-founder of TU/e innovation Space at TU Eindhoven, an expertise center for Challenge-based Learning.


Mauro Ceconello

Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Mauro Ceconello, trained as an architect, is now Full Professor at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. His teaching activity focuses on Product and Interaction Design. Head of the Design Labs System of the Design Department, he is the scientific coordinator of research projects concerning the valorization of culture through digital technologies and interaction tools.


Ashley Colley

(LUX) Lapland User Experience Design Research Group, Faculty of Art and Design, University of Lapland.

Ashley Colley is a University Researcher at the University of Lapland, where he leads the Design study program. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), a field in which he has published extensively. Colley has a long industry background, including serving as a Principal Designer at Nokia and co-founding Oura Health.


Jonas Frich

Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark.

Jonas Frich is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University. His research explores human-computer interaction, digital design with a special interest in creativity and sustainability. He is an experienced educator and teacher and passionate about pedagogy and novel teaching approaches.


Nuno Jardim Nunes

Interactive Tecnologies Institute LARSyS, IST, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal.

Nuno Jardim Nunes is a Full Professor at Tecnico – University of Lisbon and the President and founder of the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI). Nuno is the co-Director of the Carnegie Mellon International partnership and a visiting professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Nuno strongly advocates the role of design research in participatory culture and sustainability. His research influenced how digital technologies (including sensors, ML/AI, interactive storytelling, and mixed reality) can engage and inspire digital citizens to act sustainably and connect to nature and the broader ecosystems. Nuno coordinates one of the European lighthouse projects of the New European Bauhaus - the Bauhaus of the Seas.


Valentina Nisi

Interactive Tecnologies Institute LARSyS, IST, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal.

Valentina Nisi is a Professor at IST, U.Lisbon (Portugal), Affiliated Faculty at the HCI Institute, CMU (USA). She is a founding member and Vice president of the Board, at the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI LARSyS). From Fine Arts and Screenwriting to Design thinking and HCI, Valentina’s interdisciplinary view of societal challenges combines Research-through-Design and for Design approaches with post-humanistic concerns. Her funded research focuses on the participation of marginalised and unheard voices and the respect, celebration and preservation of various tangible and intangible heritage forms, recently focusing on naturecultural constructs through the coordination of the EU funded LoGa Culture project


Davide Spallazzo

Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Davide Spallazzo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano. His teaching and research focus on Interaction Design and HCI, exploring the intersection of physical and digital experiences. His work includes design-driven approaches to digital transformation, particularly in museums and cultural institutions. He serves as Programme Coordinator for the BSc in Interaction Design and the MSc in Digital & Interaction Design at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano.


Marianne Graves Petersen

Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University, Denmark.

Marianne Graves Petersen is Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University. Her research focuses on interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), shape-changing interfaces, and tangible user interfaces. Recently, she was appointed Deputy Head of Education at the department, where she continues to influence the development of computer science education.


Amna Qureshi

(LUX) Lapland User Experience Design Research Group, Faculty of Art and Design, University of Lapland.

Amna Qureshi is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lapland with a deep interest in design, visual literacy, and sustainability. Her work explores design thinking processes and the role of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in shaping ethical and sustainable design solutions.


Amy Winters

Department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands

Amy Winters, PhD in Textiles Design from Royal College of Art, is Assistant Professor, advanced materials for design. She investigates the transformation of advanced materials into interactive matters. Her interests include crossdisciplinary practices (HCI, Materials Science, and Design) and temporal qualities of dynamic materials. At the Material Aesthetics Lab, she leads the sustainable soft robotics theme.


Nicola Besana

Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Nicola Besana, trained as Product and Digital Interaction Designer, is now a PhD Candidate and teaching assistant at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. Collaborator of the Experience and Interaction Design research team, his research focuses on how Interaction Design – and its participatory processes - can contribute to improving the development and use of digital technologies in the public Tourism sector.
